The source of the Nile River

This past weekend we decided to have a little one night girls get-away to Jinja, which is famous as the source of the Nile River. We were four girls ready for some good food, wine and board games. We stayed on the west side of the Nile at the remote Haven hotel, a small lodge powered by solar panels. The view from our cozy lodge was of the beautiful river and wide waterfalls. The small hotel had great food and delicious home made bread which we really enjoyed. Our day simply consisted of sun tanning, reading and eating :) In the evening we played some board games while sipping on some red wine. It was the perfect relaxing get-away that we all had been looking forward to.

This was my second time going to Jinja as we made a day trip there a few weeks ago as well when my dad was visiting. Here are some pictures from both of those trips:

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Tomorrow is a holiday in Uganda which means no work and probably lounging poolside :)
